The last 7 years have changed me. Have they changed you, too?
In the middle of the continuing Gaza genocide, Iran war, ICE raids where people are being raped, dissappeared and killed, a global pandemic and a technofascist takeover…
We are also seeing a crisis of conscience in the nonprofit sector. Have you ever stopped and asked, WHY are we not acknowledging these things in our communications? Why are we not taking a stand against genocide? Isn’t that what we were taught in school, that genocide is bad? Didn’t we say never again?
Yet here we are, going to work on a Tuesday.
Keeping our heads down.

Why are we not acknowledging the ongoing pandemic and climate crisis?
Why are we asking people to “go back to the office” unmasked? Why are we not requiring masks at our events?
Or even- Why do we not talk about the upstream reasons for homelessness, as a policy choice instead of a personal failing?
Why do we not talk about why our causes REALLY exist?
In a world on fire, the silence of the leadership at nonprofits is deafening.
This is a book for people who have noticed this silence.
This is a book for people who don’t want to stay silent any longer.
You see the problem and naming it is the first step. Come with me- And let’s name it together.
