What is it?
Asking someone for money in person.
In-Person Asks are usually Major Gift asks. That means a larger sum of money than people normally give to your organization.

When to do it:
All year round.

You’ll need:
A major gifts program, with moves management to track donors. A relationship with your major donors. Grand vision for organization and people to communicate that vision with passion, either Board volunteers, executive director, or you. Source of potential major donors, a cultivation strategy, weekly meetings that allow each person involved in the ask to evaluate what worked.

What to do:
research
hone best prospects
ask board and staff about best prospects
communicate with prospect
call
email
call
meet
send info
ask
