I want to check in with you. How are you doing?
How are things going for you?
What do you want to see more of here? If you haven’t taken my quick 5 question survey yet, please take it here
Here’s my check in to get started.
I’ve been having a lot of phonecalls with people over the last two weeks, giving out advice like candy.
I’m so grateful to be connecting with so many of my readers! Thank you so much for sharing your problems and successes with me. I love learning more about you.
My mom was here for about a week, and I loved it. She is the best. It seems like we went everywhere and did everything.
We saw Much Ado About Nothing, saw Watson Falls, lots of flowers and had SO MUCH fun!
Here are some flowers that we saw.
Since she’s been gone, I’ve been working hard, and thinking about where I want to go in the second half of the year.
In the last two weeks I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of teaching national and international webinars for the United States Olympic Committee, Meals on Wheels National, and 4Good.org. It’s been a blast!
I love partnering with these fabulous organizations to teach their groups how to fundraise. If you want a webinar for your group, just let me know.
Isn’t this trellis gorgeous?
I’ve also been working with a new nonprofit coaching client, and it’s been a blast. I’ve been helping them write fundraising emails, write thank you notes, thank you emails, and get more donations through their website. I’m really happy about this, they’ve gotten nearly $66,000 with their online campaign so far in the last month. They are a small, lean nonprofit and they’ve never run an online campaign before, so I consider this a huge victory.
I’ve decided to come out with two books by the end of the year (and I’ll tell you more when they’re out)
There’s so much to learn! I’ve been learning about online marketing and email marketing over the last several I’ve decided to play more with AB testing on this website. So I’ll use an AB testing tool, and let you know how it goes!
I’ve also decided that it’s really important to me to have a more interesting life-more adventures and less working all the time.
That’s why I’m SO PSYCHED that I get to present at the Institute of Fundraising’s National Fundraising Convention in London this July! WAHOOO! I even got a new dress and new shoes to present there. I’ve never presented internationally before, so this is going to be such an adventure!
And I’m in talks with a few more people to present in different spots around the US and Canada. More traveling this year sounds like fun!
What else am I planning?
Well, some things I want to do: I want to make more art, see more of my family and friends, write more poetry, and learn more about how to be a better business owner. I feel like there’s always more to learn about this. I’ve been reading some good books that I’ll be sharing with you, as usual, on this blog.
So, that’s what I’ve been up to! What have YOU been up to?
