In times of great strife I have been comforted by seeing moments of joy.
There are so many, if you take a moment to look.
For instance, I know this makes me SUCH a Virgo but cleaning off the kitchen counter really brings me such joy. I did it recently over the long weekend and DAMN it makes me feel so good looking at it now.
Cleaned the garage recently as well and it feels so good walking out there and just seeing everything organized.
Where have I been?
I’ve been wandering these last few months, finding moments of beauty to share with you.
I’ve been going to the gym a lot, and feeling myself get stronger is another moment of joy.
Started going to ecstatic dance and while I’m not sharing pictures from that, it’s SO joyful every time I go.
I visited the Portland Chinese garden with a friend, and it was the mums festival! Did you know there are over 7,000 varieties of mums? Here are just a few.

My friend gave me a book about nature mandalas for my birthday, so I’ve been creating nature mandalas as well. Here are a few of them. The leaves here in the fall make me so happy. I love seeing their bright colors touched by the rain. Speaking of which, it’s been raining a LOT. That means the creek is swollen with water again. And I like it.

And finally, here are some small nature scenes from the last month that you might enjoy. A local creek, some mushrooms, and the winter moon. It gets dark here at 4:30pm now which…. is not my favorite!

In good book news- I can recommend- In a Jam, In a Rush, by Kate Canterbary, if you like contemporary romance. Canterbary has a new book coming out this month called In a Second, can’t wait to read that one.
What has been bringing you joy lately?
